The effect of titanium nitride on the mechanical properties and microstructure of oxynitride aluminum-silicon ceramic composites made by spark plasma sintering

The study describes the effect of adding titanium nitride on the microstructure and mechanical properties of ceramic composites based on aluminum-silicon oxynitride fabricated by spark plasma sintering. The sintering conditions, under which newly developed composites showed enhanced mechanical properties, were found.
