Determination of the theoretical component of the roughness of the formed screw surface during milling

The article deals with the aspects of the formation of micro-roughness (roughness) of the screw surface of the part by the designed cutting tool (disk cutter).  The cutting process is influenced by various factors of random nature. The question of predicting the formation of roughness is of great practical importance in the preparation of the technological process of manufacturing parts with a helical surface. To ensure the required value of micro-roughness in the milling of the screw surface of the workpiece developed a technique that allows you to control the roughness due to the discreteness of the cutting process: the main cutting edge of the tool leaves its mark in the form of roughness scallops. The simulation is performed on the basis of the invariant method of profiling the cutting tool.
