Comparative evaluation of the accuracy of the finite element method and the method of response functions

The development of the finite element method (FEM) is proposed on the basis of the application of the theory of experimental planning (the response function method, RFM). Comparison of the results of calculations of flexural displacements, elasticity problems obtained by FEM, RFM and an analytical method is given.
