Numerical investigation of thermal stresses heterogeneity in Si3N4-ceramic tool with polished surfaces

Heterogeneity of thermal stresses in local volume of polished surface of nitride tool, formed grains of titanium carbide and silicon nitride is investigated. A slightly smaller heterogeneity of stresses in the system formed by Si3N4-grain is revealed. Innovative tools are developed using the results of research.
