Optical monitoring of selective laser melting: influence of scanning speed and laser power on the geometry of the melting pool on the surface to metal powder layer from INOX 316 L

Developed a method of remote measurement of temperature the melting pool under the influence of laser radiation on the surface layer of metal powder INOX 316 l, using an infrared camera FLIR Phoenix RDAS ™. To restore the true temperature of the brightness temperature of the infrared camera was used model gray body. Experimentally obtained data allow us to estimate the influence of the main process parameters of selective laser melting on the geometry of the melting pool.
