The efficiency of vacuum-plasma coatings for ceramic cutting tool in the milling process of hardened bearing steel

Description of the experimental investigation of the influence of vacuum-plasma coatings (Ti, Zr) N and (Ti, Cr, Al) N on various characteristics of ceramic cutting inserts based on Al2O3 + TiC aimed at milling of hardened bearing steel. Presented a quantitative assessment of the effect of the changes in the surface and surface layer properties on the resistance of the ceramic inserts for milling of hardened steel.
